Reporting a Wrong Number

Accuracy is the whole point of a site like this, so corrections jump the queue. To make one quick to verify, tell us what you entered, what the page showed, and what you expected instead. Add your browser and device too if the problem looks like a display issue rather than an arithmetic one. Every reported figure gets checked again against the primary sources listed on the homepage before anything changes.

One thing that is usually not an error. British weights are written as whole stone plus leftover pounds, so 11 stone 4 pounds is 158 lb, not 11.4 stone. If a result looks off by a factor you can't quite place, check which of the two forms you actually meant.

Suggesting a Question

The FAQ grows from what people actually ask. If you searched for a stone or pound question and this site didn't answer it, that is genuinely worth knowing. Send the question in the words you would have typed into a search box, and it may well end up on the page.

Reuse, Citation, and Press

Linking to any page here needs no permission at all, and citing a figure with a link back is always welcome. To republish a chart or a substantial block of the text, ask first, and see the terms of use for what is and isn't allowed. Press and research enquiries go to the same address.

Privacy and Data Requests

Nothing you type into the converter is ever sent to a server, so there is no conversion history to request or delete. For questions about the aggregate analytics the site does use, see the privacy policy, or email the same address with "privacy" in the subject line.

Response Times

This is a small independent site, not a company with a support desk. Most messages get a reply within a few days. Corrections to a wrong figure get acted on as soon as they are verified, even when the reply itself takes longer to write. Marketing pitches, link exchange offers, and guest post requests are not answered.
